The CAED is born.
The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry was born in August 2004. The idea to offer canadian dentists who practice Cosmetic and Esthetic dentistry a forum and a place to voice their concerns, educate themselves, and network and learn from each other received an astonishing welcome and led to an overwhelming response from over 150 dentists and lab technician across Canada who joined the CAED as founding members.

The CAED is born. More than 375 Canadian, American and International dentists and lab technicians are current members of the CAED.

10.09.2004
First annual meeting of the CAED held in Toronto. Over 85 members attended the meeting and several internationally recognized keynote speakers, including Dr Irwin Smigel, president and founder, American Society for Aesthetic Dentistry,Dr Ron Goldstein,Founder and past president of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and author of the book “Change your smile”,Dr Nasser Barghi, Chairman, Department of Esthetic Dentistry, University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr Wolfgang Richter, founder and president, European Society for Esthetic Dentistry, Dr George Freedman Founding member, Past President, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, DR Elliot Mechanic, founding member and Dr Bob Margeas presented their lectures tomembers of the academy.

A complimentary dinner was then offered for the attendees in order to allow the members to meet with each other.

The CAED was recognized by the AGD as an approved program provider status. All sructured educational programs put and organized by the CAED are regognized by the AGD for Fellowship and Mastership program.

The Journal of Dental facial Esthetics is launched and it is the official voice of the CAED, ASDA, ESED and the IDFE

5.04.2005
A majority of the CAED members voted, and a majority of the voting members opted in favour of opening discussions with the CACD.

28.08.2005
CAED-FDI meeting in Montreal was a successful gathering with over 150 people attending.

10.09.2005
The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry is very pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Meeting will take place in Vancouver. The CAED meeting will be held jointly with the Pacific Dental Conference from March 10-12, 2006

The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry is very pleased to announce the 2006 program will include the main annual meeting at the Vancouver Pacific Dental and three regional in Montreal JDQ, St John CDA and Toronto IDC, all this included in the 160 $ annual membership.

CAED-PDC meeting in vancouver. With an attendance of more than 200 from 6 provinces and 3 countries, plus 9 sponsors and exhibitors, we surpassed not only last year’s figures, but our own expectations. We welcomed amongst us for free more than 12 students from various universities in British Columbia and Alberta to share the courses and education.

The CAED was recognized as an full standing affiliate by the AACD.
